ABOUT US

The Malaysia National Korfball Team is managed by the Malaysia Korfball Association, representing Malaysia in international korfball competitions. This sport was introduced in Malaysia in year 2007. Our President, Ms Lau Wai Fun, is also Members of the Marketing Committee of IKF and the Development & Education Committee of IKF Asia. With the mission of promoting and raising the popularity and standard of korfball in Malaysia and Asia.

During the Championship, we defeated Catalonia Team, being the only Asian country (besides World No. 2, Taiwan) who has defeated an European team

Received the IKF World Korfball Awards – Excellence in Governance. Our association is led by a board setting clear and realistic development goals with accompanying action plans. The volunteers are structurally involved in the association, and furthermore actively contribute to IKF developments by being members of committees. Our strong rise of development includes various korfball courses in online, onsite, and hybrid formats. Our communication with the IKF is always open, transparent and timely. We are undertaking continuous efforts to get the recognition and support of national sport institutions

Opening Ceremony for IKF U19/U16/U14 Asia Korfball4 Championships officiated by Director of Promotion and Development Sports, Department of Youth & Sports, Encik Sabran Abdul Bahar; General Manager of Olympic Council of Malaysia, Mr Fong Wan Hor; IKF Asia President, Professor Inglish Huang

Team Malaysia secured 5 silver medals and 1 bronze medal in the Championships

2024 Jul
IKF Under-21 World Korfball Championship Jalur Gemilang flag presentation ceremony officiated by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Adam Adli. Team Malaysia made history becoming the only Asian team (besides Chinese Taipei) to defeat a European powerhouse (triumphing over World No. 4 Team Germany). Team Malaysia secured 5 silver medals and 1 bronze medal in the Championships. Team Malaysia secured an impressive 7th place in the tournament
